What is Escalol 577

Escalol 577 is a water-soluble version of Escalol 567. Secondary UV-B absorber with activity in the UV-A region. Escalol 577 is an ingredient in some sunscreens which protects the skin from damage by UVB and short-wave UVA ultraviolet light.

Escalol 577 (BENZOPHENONE-4) has reported used in the following product types: styling gel/lotion; body wash/cleanser; shampoo; facial cleanser; moisturizer; conditioner; hair spray; facial moisturizer/treatment; liquid hand soap; exfoliant/scrub.
