What is potassium dichromate? Here's a description of what a lot of people don't know:
Potassium bichromate, at room temperature, orange red triclinic crystal or needle crystal, soluble in water, not soluble in ethanol, alias is potassium alum. Molecular weight: K2Cr2O7 +, molecular weight: 294.19, melting point: 398 points C, boiling point: 500 DCS. Potassium dichromate is a toxic and carcinogenic strong oxidizer, it is the international agency for research on cancer classified as the first kind of carcinogenic substance, and is a strong oxidant, in the laboratory and industry have a wide range of applications. It is used to make chrome alum, match, chrome paint, and for tanning, electroplating and organic synthesis.
